Locating this memorial at a National Cemetery is the most respectful way we remember our indigenous veterans alongside the other warriors with whom they fought and served. It displays the service and courage that all United States military men and women share, regardless of their backgrounds, ranks, or beliefs.

Renowned National Cemetery Administration’s “Legacy Program”

It will serve not only as a place to reunion, reflect and heal, but also be a place of learning via the renowned National Cemetery Administration’s “Legacy Program.”

The location is significant

Riverside National Cemetery, located in California, is the largest National Cemetery in the country.

Our nation’s West Coast, from Alaska to our southern border, is home to more indigenous families than any other region in the nation.

It will be constructed at the National Cemetery that annually provides more services for our military than any other in the United States.

When will the THE AMERICAN INDIAN VETERANS MEMORIAL be dedicated?

When an additional one million dollars has been raised, construction can begin. Even though THE GIFT has been completed, the surrounding landscape, plaza and walkways and a perpetual maintenance fund is required before any memorial can be constructed at any U.S. National Cemetery.
